With broad experiences in broadcasting technology, operation, and management, Ling Ling Sun is Assistant General Manager Technology/Chief Technology Officer of NET (Nebraska Educational Telecommunications), a state network that offers a multi-platform communication services to the citizens of Nebraska, through over the air, on demand, online services, and live streaming.
Through foresight Ling Ling Sun leads transformation of NET technology infrastructures in a triple jump strategy: signal monitoring and control system-signal transportation system-signal transmission system. She manages NET capital equipment budgets, and secured multimillion dollar funding for capital construction projects through the years. In the past 4 years, Ling Ling has led her team successfully completed and embarked various projects: KYNE TV relocation, diversity paths of terrestrial signal delivery, pilot implementation of Radio metadata broadcast to statewide audiences (with NPR), and NETC Monitor and Control System. The Monitor and Control System is pioneering in industry, using a viable system approach.
