As Chief Strategic Officer of Strategico TV Group, Francisco has been responsible for building and structuring strategic alliances and positioning Strategico as a launch pad to the most advanced tech and content media ventures in the US, Western Europe and Latin America. He has positioned Strategico as a business incubator, acted as broker for Pay TV Networks, participated in acquisitions, due diligence and sales representative and multicultural bridge between US and Latin American firms and from Europe to the Americas.
By conducting extensive research Francisco has put together with strategic partners, content relevant to specific ethnic communities and cost effective linear networks based on geodemographics, acculturation levels, country of origin, content and language preferences. Given 24 years traveling and conducting business in every country in Latin America and the top US Hispanic DMAs. We have put together the most attractive mini-bundles for the US Hispanic and English Caribbean segments in the US. He is also co-producing a 1 hour stand up TV show in Colombia. Strategico is in the final stages of facilitating the sale of a Pay TV Network that originates in Latin America and, closing deals for 2 packages with platforms that originate in the US and 13 episodes of a 1 hour TV Show with a US and Latin America Pay TV Network.
By focusing on bringing to market the most advanced and proven technology, cloud-based, easy to deploy technical solutions, Francisco is responsible for commercializing 05Media, an AI platform that provides real time interactivity with subscribers for any kind of video streaming tracking all social media interactions, delivering content recommendations, targeted advertising and specific e-commerce promotions in any device. Francisco was recently invited to become a member of the advisory board of 05Media.
Francisco was also responsible for bringing to market Interactivo3 which provides turn-key OTT solutions and acquired and developed Cinema Uno, an actual B2C Subscription and Transactional VOD platform in Mexico, that brings the best of Indie Films from Mexico, Latin America and Europe’s Award-Winning Movies. At different stages of launching Cinema Uno, Francisco has overseen all marketing, go to market strategies and content acquisition, in collaboration with one of the most talented curation teams in the industry.
Francisco has been a content and technology consultant for a few investment firms and Pay TV and OTT Platforms. Prior to joining Strategico, Francisco was Chief Strategic Relations Officer of Olympusat, responsible for structuring representation agreements and managing relations with over 40 Pay TV Networks from all over Latin America and networks that originated in the US. In addition, he was responsible for affiliate sales for Latin America and Puerto Rico. He also established relations with Content Producers from all over Latin America including Brazil. He was promoted from VP of Sales and Business Development to Chief Strategic Relations Officer.
Before Olympusat, he was Managing Director - VP of Sales and Business Development of ITS’ IT Division. He managed sales of a wired and wireless self-contained Virtual MSO that provided VoIP Telephony, Internet, CCTV, Content and Linear Networks in Latin America for remote locations within urban, hotels, hospitals, mining towns and rural areas. He developed and implemented all content strategies offered by ITS and sales of a full turnkey tech and content solution. He was directly involved during the entire due diligence process when the company was sold. Francisco was Business Development Advisor to the CEO of E-Ventures, identifying investment opportunities in Media Tech Companies that lead to be named VP of Sales and Business Development for Latin America and Europe of Coaxmedia, one of E-Ventures’ acquisitions which was later sold to Arris.
Francisco has been involved in launching from inception several TV networks, HTV (music) which provided him with tremendous satellite ops experience, given that HTV was owned by Hero Broadcasting, at the time the largest Teleport in the Southeastern US. He also launched Bloomberg TV Brazil, structured a strategic alliance with Zap, at the time the largest ISP in Brazil and several deals for content, radio, newspapers and magazines for the Bloomberg Newswire.
He took over as VP of Sales for Family Channel (general entertainment) and worked through due diligence transition to MGM Network (movies and series) and Casa Club (ladies), and later as VP of Sales for Cisneros TV Group which included several premium and basic networks including Playboy, Much Music, Infinito, Locomotion (first Anime network launched in Latin America) and once again HTV for North (including the US), Central and part of South America, Spain and Portugal. He was a member of the Management Boards of Family-MGM and Cisneros. He was also Sr. Director of Sorpresa TV, a children’s network later acquired by Olympusat.
Along his career Francisco has been recognized for consistently achieving revenue and P&L goals and certain subjective objectives like obtaining representation and licensing content. He holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Florida and MBA level courses in Management, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Business Math and Business Law from the University of Miami with a 3.94 GPA. He resides in Coral Gables, Florida
