Bhavik has worked in technology and communications for over 20 years, and has specifically focused on cloud computing for the last 8. Since starting his career in product management at HP in Scotland, Bhavik has held a variety of sales engineering, business development and product marketing roles at leading technology companies, including Agilent and Reliance Communications. Prior to joining AWS in 2012, Bhavik was the Director of Cloud Services & Partnerships at Aspera (acquired by IBM), where he managed partner/alliance relationships and created Aspera’s cloud services business unit delivering products and solutions to companies such as Netflix, Ooyala, Brighcove, EMC, AWS, IBM, Amazon Video, Sony and Deluxe. Bhavik is currently responsible for AWS Global Media and Entertainment partner strategy, managing the partner ecosystem and working to help customers like Discovery, Fox and Turner migrate to the AWS cloud. Bhavik holds a B.Eng (Hons) EE degree from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
